I have 'minimally' been searching, as I cannot afford to have someone else find family. I would like to know about family, especially what to expect medically. I know records are sealed except as needed for 'life/death' situations, and I think that is kind of unfair. I think people should have to the right to know their roots. My adoptive parents have told me different stories as to why I was adopted, and it is confusing. Although, being adopted, I can 'fantasize' about where I come from--lol. I also know that being adopted, I will not 'inherit' anything from my present family, except what was learned, so that is a good thing in my case. I am glad that nowadays, there is a more strict method to adopting, for the most part, and that things are more open.
