Another Adoptees Register that is hard to navigate and search

I am Sooo tired of the pathetic search engines/databases that have been created (with good intentions, of course) to assist adoptees and their birth families in search of each other.

Here's another to add to the list:

I was, once again, very excited to find abother registry... but once again, my hopes were dashed at it's ability to search the data. Without a surname, you're pretty sunk from the start. Anyone who was born through a closed adoption without that information, is prettymuch out of luck.

However, I was able to put in "unknown", and hundreds of listing came up. Unfortunately, no further search assistance was available from that point. So, it is once again, a slow painful process of reading each listing for clues.

This is what I've tried to solve with this site... the profiles are searchable by any data in the profile. Members can be searched by pertinent adoption information.

As the membership here grows, I'll continue to look for good registries and other search info. But in the meantime, set up your profile here and pass the word!
